Modern Management of User Data and Settings
Feedback form is now closed.

One of the biggest roadblocks preventing customers from transitioning away from legacy OSD to modern management using Autopilot is that the lack of an automated process of capturing and restoring data, settings and applications outside of ConfigMgr. In this session we will cover methods that facilitate true zero touch PC deployment for the replace and 'reimage' scenarios. These technologies enable organizations to direct ship PC’s from the manufacturer to the end user and to replace broken hardware in just minutes. This not only frees up valuable time for the IT team to focus on more important tasks it also results in less loss of productivity for the end user. As an added benefit the user data is accessible anywhere from any device.

What you will learn:
  • Migrating user data to OneDrive for Business using Known Folder Move
  • Configuring UE-V to capture user settings
  • Configuring Enterprise State Roaming to capture user settings
  • How to deal with reinstalling applications outside of OSD
