Services like Intune, Desktop Analytics, Office 365, and Microsoft Defender ATP are here to help you achieve more than is possible today with your on-premises investments, and reduce your total cost of operation! In this session we'll talk about how and why you should add cloud-y goodness where it makes sense for your organization.

What you will learn:
  • How can I attach my ConfigMgr estate to the cloud and why should I do it?
  • Which pieces of cloud value make sense for me to leverage in my environment?
  • Is ConfigMgr going away? (SPOILERS: NO!)
  • How many clicks does it take to enable Co-Management?

Systems Management Mistakes (and How to Avoid Them)

Join this session for a discussion on avoiding the biggest mistakes being made in management in the world of the cloud. Back in the day we had System Center for all things automation, monitoring and management, but much of IT has moved on beyond on-prem systems into the cloud. While the business requirements may be similar to what they once were, the tools are different and often conflicting. In this session we will provide practical lessons on systems management mistakes that we have seen and how to avoid them. You will learn what tools are now available for managing your systems and apps so that you can choose the right one for the task.

What you will learn:
  • Know which tools are available for systems management and what they do and learn which you should you use for your systems - based on what you want to accomplish with them.
  • Learn limitations of the Microsoft tools which are available to manage your systems and applications.
  • Understand methods to integrate on-prem tools (like System Center) with the automation tools available in Azure.
  • Find out how to integrate effective logging, alerts and dashboards for all of your managed systems and applications.
